Tim is helping to launch a new campaign for kids: Play60/Read20
Play 60 is the NFL’s youth health and fitness campaign. Designed to help tackle childhood obesity, Play 60 focuses on making the next generation of kids the most active and healthy by encouraging them to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Tim has added Read 20 which adds the importance of reading at least 20 minutes a day to exercise the brain. It fits well into his motto: READING IS WEIGHT LIFTING FOR YOUR BRAIN.
This is what Tim says about the Play60/Read20 Program:
“The wonderful thing about both reading and playing is that they’re FUN. Unlike weightlifting to become a better athlete (a grueling endeavor), weightlifting for the brain should be as pleasant as playing for 60 minutes on the playground. That’s a big part of my message to kids, and I suggest it should be yours: reading should be fun. Here are my FIVE TIPS TO GET YOUR KIDS READING 20:”
