True friends are like family, they are loyal and loving and forgiving. It’s important to remember that to have a friend, you have to BE a friend. True friends stand by each other through thick and thin. These are special relationships and it doesn’t matter what the “crowd” is doing. You are friends and that’s all that matters.
Always remember that you are known by the company you choose to keep. So choose wisely. As you grow older and move through life, you’ll find that true friendships stand the test of time. Family and work commitments may mean that you don’t talk everyday or that you live in different parts of the country, but it’s then that you truly come to value your best friendships. In times of trouble, your true friends will always show up at your side because that’s what friends do. And, if you keep your eyes wide and your heart open, you’ll find the opportunities to grow your family of friends throughout your life. Outside of your immediate family, these are the special people that help you have a rich, happy life.
